Hey GCS family! I have one week of recovery under my belt after my surgery. I am on the fast track to full recovery and plan to be back, God-willing, by the end of next week. I would like to extend a huge thank-you for all your prayers, notes of encouragement, and special gifts. Here are just a few reminders of some upcoming events:
Track & Field:
Be on the lookout for more information coming up about our next track and field event on May 31st, when students in grades 3-6 will be competing with other ACSI schools across the Maritimes. Parents are more than welcome to come join us at UPEI on that day to cheer their children on. Please remember proper clothing, footwear, snacks, and drinks.
Spring Pictures:
Please note that although Life Touch has sent you actual pictures of your children, they still need to be purchased if you intend to keep them. If you are not planning on keeping the pictures, please send them back as soon as possible. All payments and/or pictures are due back on May 25th.
GCS Annual Golf Tournament:
Our annual GCS Golf Tournament is just around the corner. We are anticipating a very successful tournament again this year, however spaces for golfers are still available. Please take note of the following information:
DATE: Saturday, June 3rd, 2016
TIME: Sign in at 7:00am – 7:45am / Shotgun start at 8:00am
PLACE: Clyde River Golf and Country Club , 384 Clyde River Road, Clyde River, PE.
ENTRY FEE: $100.00 per person OR $400.00 per team (includes: green fees, cart rental, sleeve of balls, complimentary snacks & drinks on the course, surf ‘n turf lunch, and $40 charitable receipt per entrant) . Student rate (18 years and under): $75

Spring Potluck Dinner & Arts Showcase
Save the date for our Annual Spring Potluck Dinner and Arts Showcase from students in grades 7 – 12. Please bring a dish for 6 people to share. Families with the last name beginning with A – H should bring a main dish or sides. Families with the last names beginning with I – Z please bring desserts. Salad, Rolls and drinks will be provided by GCS. After dinner we will enjoy a presentation from our Drama class and hear from our award-winning musicians.
DATE: Monday, June 5
TIME: 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm Meal & Arts Showcase begins at 6:35 pm sharp.
